The Council of Imams and Ulama Kaduna State says it is highly disturbed and regrettable registers its disappointment with the manner the President Muhammad Buhari led Government handles the security of lives and property of Nigerians.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Council, Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu, the religious body said the actions and inactions of the Buhari administration has proven to have no any other progressive solutions to solving the current negative plight Nigerians are experiencing, particularly on the security challenges.
The Council called for the immediate restructuring of the security architecture of the country without any further delay with the view to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians for lasting peace.
The body condemned in strong terms, the continued killings and kidnapping of innocents Nigerians and destruction of their farm produce by bandits and other criminal elements freely, with little or no effort to end the barbarism. The council also called on President Buhari to initiate desirable compensation to the families of the victims who lost their loved ones.
The council however urged Nigerians to pray fervently for Allah’s intervention to salvage Nigeria “from the hands of the sycophants who are caging and preventing President Muhammad Buhari from understanding the true situation of things in the country. At the same time, urges Muslims to pray for those who lost their lives and property in the hands of the criminal elements.
“The council urges president Buhari to remember that he will be responsible for any single soul that was innocently killed under his watch on the day of resurrection”.
The Council commiserates with the families of all the farmers that were recently massacred by the Boko Haram terrorist in Borno and other victims of kidnapping and banditry across the North.
It stressed that the killings must stop and all irresponsible military officers must be brought to book to face the wrath of the law for their complacency.
